Warriors Fans Providing 1,500 Tickets To Bay Area Youth Groups For Tonight's Game
Tickets Donated To 35 Worthy Bay Area Agencies Through The Warriors Wish Program

Proving once again that they are among the best fans in all of professional sports, the Golden State Warriors fan base has donated 1,500 tickets to various Bay Area youth groups for tonight’s game against the New Orleans Hornets through the Warriors Wish program, the team announced today.

As part of the Warriors Wish program, individuals and companies have provided funding to the Golden State Warriors Community Foundation to make it possible for 1,500 underserved youth from 35 worthy organizations throughout the Bay Area to experience an NBA game they might not have otherwise been able to attend. Recipient nonprofits include AchieveKids San Jose, which teaches youth with complex emotional and developmental disabilities the skills and knowledge necessary to achieve greater independence; East Oakland Youth Development Center, which develops the social and leadership capacities of youth and young adults (ages 6 – 24) so that they are prepared for employment, higher education, and leadership opportunities; and Redwood City Police Athletic League, which provides intervention, prevention and alternative programs to at-risk and economically challenged youth in Redwood City.

The Golden State Warriors Community Foundation is committed to positively impacting the lives of underserved children in the greater Bay Area.
