Garrett

Garrett, 35, is currently in his sixth NBA season after originally joining the Timberwolves as a 30-year-old rookie prior to the 1996-97 campaign. After signing as a free agent to play the 1997-98 season for Denver, Garrett was traded back to Minnesota the following year on January 21, 1999 where he has remained until today’s trade. In 29 games this season, Garrett is averaging 1.0 points and 1.6 rebounds in 5.2 minutes. In 325 career NBA games entering this season, the Los Angeles, CA native averaged 5.2 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.11 blocks.

The 6-11, 250 pound center played at San Francisco City College for two years (1984-85 and 1985-86) before transferring to Indiana University where he was a member of the 1987 NCAA Championship squad. Originally drafted by the Phoenix Suns in the 1988 NBA Draft (38th overall pick), Garrett played in Italy for six seasons (1989-90 through 1994-95) and one season in Greece (1995-96) before joining the Timberwolves.

Jackson, 27, is currently in his second campaign with the Warriors after signing as a free agent prior to last season. Originally drafted by the Warriors in 1997 (38th overall pick), the Temple alum has appeared in 17 games in 2001-02, averaging 4.9 points and 2.5 rebounds.
