Warriors Senior VIce President of Business Development Brandon Schneider Named Forty Under 40 Recipient

Golden State Warriors Senior Vice President of Business Development Brandon Schneider has been named a recipient of SportsBusiness Journal’s 18th annual Forty Under 40 Award, which recognizes executives who have demonstrated excellence and innovation in their careers before the age of 40. All 40 recipients of the award will be featured in the April 10 issue of SportsBusiness Journal and will be honored at a gala on April 20 at Monarch Beach Resort in Dana Point, CA.

“Brandon is one of the brightest young executives in the business and I am thrilled that he has been recognized with one of the most revered awards in our industry,” said Warriors President & Chief Operating Officer Rick Welts. “His tremendous leadership and tireless work ethic are essential to the success of our organization and I couldn’t think of a more deserving recipient of this honor.”

Schneider, 37, is currently in his 15th season with the Warriors organization and his third as senior vice president of business development. In his current role, Schneider is responsible for all strategic planning and execution related to the organization’s ticket and suite sales, services, and operations efforts, which received four “best in industry” awards at the 2016 NBA Sales and Marketing Meetings.

Under Schneider’s guidance, the Warriors season ticket base has grown to a franchise record 14,500 seats, and he spearheaded a successful renewal strategy that resulted in at least a 90 percent season ticket renewal rate in each of the past four seasons. The Warriors launched a Priority Wait List for season tickets prior to the 2013-14 season and that list has grown to nearly 37,000 members. Schneider also pushed the organization to successfully adopt a dynamic ticket pricing model prior to the 2011-12 campaign, and mirrored the model on the suite level shortly thereafter. The Warriors own a current home sellout streak of 216 consecutive games.

Schneider is one of only three NBA team executives among the Forty Under 40 Class of 2017, along with Houston’s Vice President of Ticket Sales & Services Gretchen Sheirr and Orlando’s Executive Vice President of Strategy Anthony Perez.
