Warriors Upcoming Draft Pick Status

Here is a look at the Warriors current status in the next three NBA Drafts:

2012 NBA DRAFT
First Round (2):
  • The Warriors own their own first round pick (#7).

  • The Warriors own San Antonio’s first round pick (#30), which was acquired, along with Richard Jefferson and T.J. Ford, in exchange for Stephen Jackson on 3/15/2012.

  • Second Round (2):
  • The Warriors own Brooklyn’s second round pick (#35), which was acquired along with Troy Murphy in exchange for Dan Gadzuric and Brandan Wright on 2/23/11.

  • The Warriors own Atlanta’s second round pick (#52), which was acquired in exchange for cash considerations on 3/15/12.

  • NOTE: Golden State’s own second round pick was traded to New York as part of the David Lee trade on 7/9/10 and is now owned by Denver.


  • 2013 NBA DRAFT
    First Round (1/0):
  • The Warriors will have their first round pick if it is slotted between #1-6. If the pick is slotted between #7-30, the pick will be conveyed to Utah as part of the Marcus Williams trade on 7/22/08.

  • Second Round (0):
  • The Warriors traded their second round pick to New York as part of the David Lee sign-and-trade deal on 7/9/10.


  • 2014 NBA DRAFT
    First Round (1/0):
  • The Warriors will have their first round pick outright if their first round pick in 2013 was conveyed to Utah (via Brooklyn). If the pick is not conveyed to Utah 2013, the Warriors will have their first round pick if it is slotted between #1-6. If the pick is slotted between #7-30, the pick will be conveyed to Utah as part of the Marcus Williams trade on 7/22/08.

  • Second Round (1/0):
  • The Warriors will have their second round pick outright if their first round pick in 2013 or 2014 was conveyed to Utah (via Brooklyn). If the first round pick was not conveyed to Utah by 2014, the Warriors will convey their second round pick in 2014 to Utah.
