“Warriors Live” To Feature Q&As, Team Three-Point Contest, Backstage Tour Led By Stephen Curry, Special Guests and More
The Golden State Warriors announced today that in an effort to continue to be innovative and create unique experiences for fans, the team will host an interactive live stream of its practice on warriors.com with Google+ Hangouts on Saturday, October 26, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Through the digital experiment, fans will have the unique opportunity to watch and interact with the 2013-14 Golden State Warriors team in action during practice as Head Coach Mark Jackson and the Warriors’ coaching staff puts the squad through a series of drills and interactive contests.
“Working with Google to live stream our practice and provide an interactive digital setting for our fans to engage with our coaches and special guests is a first for the Warriors and the NBA,” said Warriors Chief Marketing Officer Chip Bowers. “As we continue to focus on creating unique experiences and utilizing technology in new and innovative ways, “Warriors Live” is an ideal format for us to reach fans throughout the world in real time.”
The live stream will include an all-access tour of the team’s practice facility led by Warriors guard Stephen Curry, a three-point contest featuring the entire roster and an introduction to the team’s newcomers. The entire event will also be a part of a Google+ Hangout, where fans can win a variety of prizes, take part in a Q&A with Warriors Head Coach Mark Jackson, and interact with surprise guest participants, including Warriors center Festus Ezeli.
