Club Has Capped Season Ticket Sales For 2013-14 After Establishing Franchise Record Base Of 14,500;
Fans Can Sign Up For Priority Wait List By Visiting Warriors.com Or Calling 888-GSW-HOOP
With demand for Warriors tickets at an all-time high and in an effort to ensure fans have an opportunity to purchase individual game tickets, the Golden State Warriors have capped season ticket sales for the 2013-14 campaign and launched a Season Ticket Priority Wait List, it was announced today. The Warriors have sold a franchise record 14,500 season tickets for the 2013-14 season – including 3,700 since April – and concluded sales on Monday. The final pair of season tickets available were purchased by Warriors’ forward Andre Iguodala and will be given away to one lucky fan via a contest that will begin later today on Warriors.com. Fans interested in season tickets for next season (2014-15) and beyond can visit Warriors.com or call 888-GSW-HOOP to reserve a spot on the Season Ticket Priority Wait List.
“This is just another indicator of why Warriors fans are universally acclaimed for creating the most supportive, loudest and enthusiastic atmosphere in the NBA,” said Warriors President and Chief Operating Officer Rick Welts. “For those not in a position to purchase season tickets, capping our season ticket base at 14,500 ensures continued accessibility to Warriors games through available single game tickets, mini-plans, and group tickets. In addition, the Priority Wait List provides an individual priority number which is a specific place in line to secure season tickets as they become available in the future.”
Fans interested in Warriors season tickets are encouraged to join the Season Ticket Priority Wait List as soon as possible. With a $100 non-refundable deposit, fans will have the opportunity to purchase season tickets, while initially receiving the following benefits:
- Warriors Season Ticket Priority Wait List number
- Exclusive presale opportunities for:
- Warriors partial-season plans
- Individual tickets for Warriors regular season games
- Individual tickets for Warriors post-season games (when applicable)
- Priority over the general public for the planned San Francisco arena
The Warriors have sold out 40 consecutive games, the most for the club since the 1995-96 season. The team also registered the second highest single-game attendance average in franchise history (19,374) and averaged over 18,000 per game for the eighth consecutive season. Overall, the Warriors ranked in the top five in the NBA in average attendance last season.
