Warriors Finish Regular Season with a Franchise-Record 67 Wins

Established 1946 | 7-time NBA Champions

The Golden State Warriors finished the 2014-15 regular season with a franchise-record 67 wins, one of several new franchise marks established during a historic regular season.

In addition to becoming the 10th team in NBA history to win at least 67 games in a single season, the Warriors (67-15, .817) set team records by winning 39 home games—the first Western Conference team to win 39 home contests in a single season—and 28 games on the road, thanks in part to franchise record win streaks of 19-straight at home (Nov. 13 – Jan. 25), 10-straight on the road (Nov. 16 – Dec. 14) and 16-straight overall (Nov. 13 – Dec. 14). Golden State captured its first Pacific Division title since 1975-76, finishing with the best record in the NBA for the first time since that same season.

With 67 wins, Head Coach Steve Kerr won more games than any first-year head coach in league history, leading Golden State to a 16-game improvement over last season’s 51 victories—the largest total win increase of any team that won at least 50 games in the previous season. The Warriors became just the eighth team in NBA history to finish the season with a double-digit point differential (+10.10) and also set franchise marks for single-season assists (2,248) and three-pointers (883, third in NBA history), led by Stephen Curry’s NBA-record 286 threes this season.

The Warriors, who are making their third-straight postseason appearance for the first time since 1975-77, will tip off the 2015 NBA Playoffs at Oracle Arena on Saturday, when they host the New Orleans Pelicans.
