Warriors Sign Mickael Pietrus To Contract
11th Overall Selection In 2003 NBA Draft Set To Play On Warriors Summer League Squad

The Golden State Warriors have signed first round draft choice Mickael Pietrus to a contract, general manager Garry St. Jean announced today. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not released.

Pietrus, whom the Warriors selected with the 11th overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft, has recently arrived from his native France after helping his former team, Pau Orthez, win the French Pro A League Championship. The 6-6, 200 pound guard/forward has played in the league’s All-Star Game in each of the past three seasons and is currently a member of France’s National Team. Pietrus is slated to join the Warriors summer league team in Los Angeles, which begins practice today and will start a seven-game schedule on Wednesday.
