Don Nelson
On Matt Barnes
“I am very happy for Matt Barnes tonight. He played an all around game but the three has really made him something special. He was rated No. 10 in the league coming into this game. He really played an all-around game tonight. He came in as a walk-on and was exactly the guy I was looking for. He’s smart and always knows the plays. He is a great guy to coach, always asking really good questions, and he really absorbs what I teach him. He plays confident. He’s been given an opportunity and has really taken advantage of it, and it has just been really fun. I am very proud of him.”

On Tonight's Game
“It was a good game for us. We competed hard and everybody played very well. We had six guys in double-figures, and we needed it.”

Matt Barnes
On Tonight's Game
“It felt good, especially doing it against Sacramento. We haven’t played well lately, so we need to get hot before we head out on the road.”

On His Play
“I finally have a coach who believes in me. I’m just trying to make the most of it. I had a chance to work on my outside shot a lot while I was in Philly because I wasn’t playing a lot, so that continues to get better.”

On His Contributions
“I just want to go out there every night and help this team any way possible, it’s not going to be scoring 30 every night, so I need to do the little things and hopefully as a team we can continue to improve.”

On Playing Against His Former Team
“It’s always fun to play against Sacramento, but more importantly we’ve been struggling. So it was more important to get a win. It’s always fun to play against guys I work out with in the summer and hang out with, but it was more important to get on track.’

Monta Ellis
On Tonight's Game
“We needed to get back on the winning track. It was a big game for us. We just need to continue to play hard against Houston and get back on the winning track. We’re not taking any team lightly because one game could determine if we make the playoffs or not. We just need to go out and play hard.”
Mike Dunleavy
On Tonight's Game
“It’s nice to beat our Bay Area rivals and a team we will be in competition with all year. But we just need to get wins. We brought a lot of energy tonight, we were active, played well, and everybody contributed ... Hopefully we build on this and play well against Houston and that should catapult us into our road trip. When we play like this, we’re tough to beat.”
