Warriors Can't Beat The Heat
Playing without injured guard Stephen Curry, the Warriors suffered a 106-84 loss to LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat on Friday night at Oracle Arena. A sold out crowd of 20,036 saw Golden State hang with the Heat early, but an 18-3 Miami run to open the second half quickly put the game out of reach. Monta Ellis had 20 points and seven assists to lead the Warriors, and Dorell Wright, who spent his first six seasons with the heat before moving west this season, had 12 points and 10 rebounds for his fourth double-double in his last five games. David Lee and Reggie Williams each added 13 points, and Ekpe Udoh had two points in his NBA debut after sitting out the early part of the season while recovering from left wrist surgery. The Warriors will now have the weekend off before resuming play on Monday in Salt Lake City against the Jazz.

Keith Smart
On the Heat:
Theyre good. They have the ability to play through the game and when they need to turn it up, they did. LeBron (James) turned it up in the third quarter, came out in the tail in of the third and made a couple of plays. He didnt see his free throw numbers go up, but he made a lot of jump shots tonight. They have the ability to do that, those guys are goodtheyre good. They know win to push the button. I think what you are starting to see from them they are starting to not defer as much to each other, theyre trying to see what is taking place and then when one guy has it going and has a mismatch they will read that.

On the Warriors' effort:
Im not worried, because I think they are playing hard. They are trying to compete and then we have a few minor issues, turning the ball over or missing a rebound. So Im not worried because they are still workingI would be worried if this team didnt want to work anymore if they didnt look like they were competing on the floor, then you would have some flags. But right now I dont think thats the case.

On Ekpe Udohs Debut:
Hes good. He sat down on the post, made a nice post move. But weve seen that in practice, so some of those things are coming and we see thats going to be a part of what he can do. One thing I saw, on a baseline out of bonds play he was putting people in place, so thats pretty good for a rookie to know exactly where we are supposed to be. Hes been out for that long, but he was paying attention to whats going on around him. He was talking on defense, so hes going to come along and do a good job when he gets the opportunity to play more.

Dorell Wright
On playing without Stephen Curry:
Its definitely difficult, especially with a guy who give us 20 a night and things like that. Its hard when one of our key players in out. We still need to find a way; we were in the game but slipped in the third quarter.

David Lee
On tonight's game:
I think they made an initial burst to begin the third quarter with a couple fast break buckets. We got right back into it but then LeBrons (James) three threes I guess took it from nine to right back to 18. So that was tough, Dorell (Wright) played good defense all three times and had a hand in his face all three times. When he hits those shots because of his ability to drive to the basket makes it a tough cover.

On his offensive game:
I am struggling to find my rhythm from coming back. I feel a little bit out of sync. Theres time when I get in a good rhythm like four possessions in a row and make couple of buckets and have couple assists. Then other times where I feel out of sorts and Im still about a half a step slow in my explosiveness.

On scoring without Stephen Curry:
I think we can be ok. We played a good defensive team tonight. They made it difficult for us.
