Warriors Comeback Falls Short
Playing their first game of a three-game road trip, the Warriors were defeated in a 114-109 contest in Oklahoma City on Sunday. Golden State fell behind early in the game and trailed the Thunder by 20 points in the fourth quarter, but then mounted a big comeback that wound up just short. The Warriors cut the 20-point lead down to just three, but Oklahoma City was able to prevail and hold on for the win. Stephen Curry had one of his best shooting games of the year and finished with a season-high 39 points. Curry went 14-20 from the floor, 4-7 from three-point territory and 7-7 from the free throw line. Monta Ellis scored 29 points and pulled down five rebounds on the night. The Warriors will now travel to Dallas, where they will face the Mavericks on Tuesday.

Keith Smart
On tonight's game:
I believe we have a good basketball team. I've got to say, I believe we do, because to be down and be able to come back to make it a manageable thats why I know we are going to be good. I preach that to these guys in the locker room, that if they keep that up; we can figure out a way to manage the first quarter, we are going to have a chance. I just have to keep selling that and they have to believe that because this game could have been over. We could have been down 20 points on the road and packed it in, but these guys made it a manageable game with about a minute, two minutes to go in the game. So without a doubt I think we are going to be a good team when it all is said and done.

On selling a positive attitude in the locker room:
I believe in those men in that locker room over there. Its not hard to sell things to people you believe in and they believe in what we are trying to do. So its not a hard sell in that regard.

On the back and forth nature of the game tonight:
Its a long game. Dont play the clock; play your execution part of the game. Dont play the clock because somewhere along the lines, they are going to make multiple mistakes to give you an opportunity to make plays and try to execute what it is that we are trying to do. I think that is what our guys did. Some guys made some big, tough shots. No matter how you cut it, it will always come down to how the basketball players are making plays.

On how to get urgency when down:
Our team is a little out of sync. We are still putting the pieces back together and starting to put things back to order. So it is not like this is the team we had earlier in the year. We have to work through all those things and then it will come. I believe it will come and they believe it will come. We are just in that cycle right now, we are in that cycle where things are not totally clear for our team right now, but you saw how we played and how they played whenever they were down. But, when you get down and finally get yourself back in the game, thats when your margin for error is so small.

Monta Ellis
On the teams outlook for the season:
Weve got to just go on to practice and put this one behind us. We need to take this 3rd and 4th quarter and try to convert it over to the next game. Its a long season. We are at a great position. We just have to keep playing together. Its going to turn for us; I know it is. Were a little frustrated at this point but weve got to look at the positives. Its too early in the season for us to hang our head or get out of our comfort zone. Weve just got to continue to work hard and stay together as a team.

Stephen Curry
On tonight's game:
Its frustrating why we cant start off the game like we played in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th quarters. We won the game by like 10 after the 1st quarter. We just have to find a way to come out of the blocks a little faster.

Outlook of the team:
We need to keep doing what were doing even though the results havent been what weve wanted, but were doing things that a winning team does. We are having spurts of it defensively. Were rotating well and talking and were moving the ball. Everybodys getting involved which is important if we want to win.
