Warriors Fall To 6-3
Playing their fourth road game in five nights, the Warriors struggled in the first half and wound up on the losing end of a 120-90 contest in Chicago on Thursday. Monta Ellis scored a team-high 24 points, going 10-20 from the floor and handing out five assists. Stephen Curry finished the night with 17 points, six assists and five steals, while Dorell Wright tallied 12 points and a team-high eight rebounds. With David Lee sidelined due to an elbow laceration he suffered in Tuesday's win in New York, the Warriors were a bit shorthanded and were unable to stop a potent Chicago offensive attack in the first two quarters. Lee's status is day-to-day, and Goldden State is hoping to have him back on the floor as soon as possible. The team will now have one day off before finishing up their road trip in Milwaukee on Saturday.

Keith Smart
On Today's Game:
Give them credit. The Bulls played a very good, aggressive game. We just didn't have the juice to compete tonight. They came out and attacked us. We then turned over the ball. We just have to move on from here. There are some nights you know when your players are not in it and the juice is not there. Tonight I gave the starters a chance to come back since sometimes they can fool you. The Bulls just had us in the energy department tonight.

On What He Told His Team:
We talked about playing on the road how you're going to run into the wolf, the bear, and the lion. We escaped the wolf last night, but the bear got us tonight. I also said to them at half time there were two guys with 18 and 21 points. I said we have to go out there and give a better effort than that. You have to take care of the basketball on the road and control your turnovers. If you don't you give away points like we did tonight and can't come back.

On The Bulls' Defense:
We knew we would be getting a gritty aggressive game from them. Our guys just did not have it tonight. They made us catch the ball out higher and just took us out of our offensive game.

Dorell Wright
On Today's Game:
This brings us back down. We got off to a good start, but it was just one bad game. It let us know that we are not where we wanna be at right now. The Bulls are a playoff team so we have to come with better effort. We've got to learn from this, come back harder and stronger next time. Against good teams like that, we can't come out and be lazy and turn the ball over because it can get ugly out there. This won't be the last back-to-back. We've got probably 10 more back-to-backs this season. We've got to learn how to come in and be mentally tough and get wins on the road in back-to-backs. When the game gets like that you can't put your head down and lay down. Guys still tried to fight in the 2nd half, we just have to learn from this.

On What Coach Smart Said At Halftime:
We need to play harder. That's what it's about every night. You want to out work the guy in front of you every night. We didn't do that in the 1st half. It's a team effort. It's everybody. We have to come out and start games better, and take care of the ball.

On Whether These Types Of Games Are Inevitable Over The Course Of The Season:
It's gonna happen. There's a lot of games, but it's still early. That's the best thing about it because we can correct a lot of things. Late in the year, then you've got a problem. We're a good young team, and we've got to learn, get in the film room, and learn from it.
