Don Nelson
On tonight's game
“It was great to see us play so well for so long while we were undermanned. It was great to see that the free throws actually won the game for us in the end. It has been a long time since we could say that. Though we let them back in the game towards the end, we hit the shots that we needed to in order to close out the game. We took a good amount of three’s tonight, but that was OK because most of the threes were shots created by teammates so we didn’t want to pass those up.”

On Baron Davis
“Baron played excellent tonight. Best game of the year. The most important stat was that he had 0 turnovers. He basically carried the team on his back tonight. He did it all tonight on both sides of the floor and played great defense towards the end.”

Baron Davis
On tonight's game
“We’re just young. We’re battling and we’re trying to figure it out. We play hard. We have to start channeling all of our energy and play hard with a purpose and do the little things. We’re just battling. We’re trying to come together as a young ball club. Guys are stepping up. Our young guys we rely on a lot.”

On free throws
“We work on our free throws every day in practice. There is no excuse for us to miss free throws as a team. That’s what we have to do. We have to continue to step up to the line and have that confidence and confidence in each other. And most importantly, down the stretch we have to be able to come up with key stops and rebounds to where our free throws stretch our lead out, and not have the pressure situations like we were in tonight.”

On the Hornets
“Right now the (Hornets) are playing some of the best basketball in the Western conference… They’re a team that we’re going to be battling with a playoff spot with.”

Troy Murphy
On playing with the mask
“I don’t ever think I’ll ever be comfortable with it, but I’m getting more used to it. We had to get this game tonight and we’re happy we did.”

On the homestand
“We want to protect our home court. This is an important stretch for us because we have a bunch of home games before we get on the road."

On free throw shooting
“We shoot enough of them in practice, we should make them at the end of games.”
