Warriors Tally First Road Win
The Warriors held off a ferocious second-half run from the host Raptors and posted a 109-102 victory on Monday for their first road win of the season. Playing the back end of a back-to-back, the Warriors were carried by Stephen Curry and Monta Ellis. Curry scored 16 of his 34 points in the fourth quarter and Monta Ellis had 28 points before leaving the game late in the fourth quarter with a back injury. David Lee added his fifth double-double of the season all in Warriors victories as Golden State out-rebounded Toronto 42-32. Ellis will have X-rays on his lower back to determine the extent of the injury, with results expected to be available on Tuesday morning. Now 5-2, the Warriors will travel to New York to play the Knicks on Wednesday.

Keith Smart
On Stephen Curry:
He is still in that growth cycle. He is at the bottom of that growth cycle of learning. And maybe in a year he will be up there with the Jason Kidds, and guys like that, Williams and Billups, where they know how to control and manage a game. I have to be very, very patient with that so I have to deal with the bad. Right now, he is in a growth cycle and he will continue to develop.

On The Team's Rebounding:
I just think we are doing our case with rebounding. That is going to be our calling card. As long as we can limit teams to one-shot opportunities we are going to have a chance to be close in games. When you give them a second and third, most offensive rebounds end up in a wide open three, so we have got to take that away.

David Lee
On Today's Game:
More than anything we needed a road victory and needed to play well on the road. We still didnt play great tonight but we played well enough. I know that I needed to bring a lot of energy tonight to lead us, lead us emotionally on the road. I think we came out a little bit flat in Detroit.

On This Game Being A Confidence Booster For Him:
This was a huge confidence booster for me and I think that I turned the corner as far as offensively, being a little bit more comfortable with what we are doing. If it wasnt for foul trouble I probably would have had a much better scoring game. Either way we got the win and lets hope Monta (Ellis) is okay.

On How The Warriors Responded Down The Stretch:
That is what is tough about playing on the road, teams are always going to make a run at the end. Toronto is a good team at home and they made their run and we were able to get some key buckets. Steph (Curry) did a great job down the stretch making some tough ones.

Stephen Curry
On Coming Back To Toronto:
I am familiar with the rims, its a pretty familiar environment and arena and it feels good when I come back.

On The Team's Slow Start Tonight:
That is two games in a row where we havent got off to a great start on the road. It was a great timeout called by Coach to get us calmed down, back focused and we went on an 8-0 run and got the tempo back on our side. Two careless turnovers by me to start the game, but we got ourselves back into it and finished strong.

On Toronto's Comeback Attempt:
Anytime you get the lead you want to get the kill, keep the pressure on the gas and keep attacking. In the third quarter we made some careless turnovers and played a little lackadaisical on offence and they got some easy transition baskets and got their crowd back into it. They feed off of their crowd. When they start to hear their crowd and get the energy going and we kept our composure in the fourth quarter and some big shots to seal the deal.
