The Warriors dropped a 118-90 decision to the visiting Clippers on Friday night at Oracle Arena. Playing without the injured Andris Biedrins and Ronny Turiaf, Golden State fell behind big early and could not muster a comeback in the second half. Athony Morrow led five Warriors in double figures with 18 points, while Stephen Jackson added 17 points and six rebounds in the defeat. Led by 25 points apiece from Baron Davis and Eric Gordon, Los Angeles shot 62.9 percent from the field in the first half and 57.9 percent for the game. Following Saturday’s day off, the Warriors will return to action on Sunday with a road game against their Northern California rival Sacramento Kings.
