FULL GAME PREVIEW

Keith Smart
On Monta Ellis:
I said it at shootaround before the game, I dont know what kind of game he is going to have. I want him to be the aggressive guy at first, and then if the flow takes him another way, he will read that. I felt that we needed a better pickup tonight, because we were limited and he was able to do that. Once again, a young man playing at a great level the whole training camp, preseason as well as the start of the regular season. Hes doing a great job.

On Dorell Wright:
Hes in new territory now because he gets the chance to have a bit more freedom to make plays, and hes learning how to do that within the framework of what we are trying to do. I still like the way he tries to defend, I still like the way he tries to set the tone and guard people. Rudy Gay made some incredible shots tonight and he had a hand in his face contesting his shots all the way through.

On The High Volume of Three Pointers Taken:
If you look at how the threes are being taken, they are not being taken by coming down and pulling up and shooting. Its coming off of dribble penetration. And dribble penetration brings the defenses in and then you've got to take those shots."

Monta Ellis
On Tonight's Game:
We scrapped to the end. We got the win. Dorell played great tonight. Reggie, D. Lee, Andris, I mean pretty much everyone that came off the bench played well. Thats what we needed. Were missing Stephen tonight and guys stepped up where we needed them tonight.

On Sitting During The First Part Of The Third Quarter:
I wanted to be in there bad but at the same time it was coaches decision. He didnt rush me so I just had to wait because I knew he was going to call me again. So I just had to wait until I got back into the game.

Monta Ellis Audio Interview

Dorell Wright
On Tonight's Game:
Im just taking comfort jumpers, things I work on everyday. The big guys and Monta (Ellis), you know those guys attract a lot of attention so they make it easy for me. Im just taking game shots, practice shots and trying to be efficient.
