Warriors Beat L.A. For 3rd-Straight Win
Playing in front of a sellout crowd and a national television audience, the Warriors posted a 95-87 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday night at Oracle Arena. Monta Ellis had a game-high 26 points and David Lee followed his 29-point, 20-rebound game on Tuesday with 22 points, 17 rebounds, five assists and four steals. After allowing the Lakers to make eight of their first 10 shots, the Warriors stepped up their defense and held Los Angeles to 11-for-35 shooting over the second and third quarters. Stephen Curry helped put the game away with nine of his 20 points in the fourth quarter and Lou Amundson came through with 11 points and five rebounds in 25 critical minutes off the bench. Winners of three-straight, the Warriors will now enjoy three days off before hosting the Kings in a Family and Friends contest on Sunday at 6 p.m. That game falls on Esurances Go Green Night, and fans carpooling or taking BART to the game can receive a two-for-1 ticket voucher.
