Slow Start Stalls Warriors
Playing the back end of a back-to-back, the Warriors got off to a nightmarish start and never fully recovered in Mondays 129-119 loss to the host Sacramento Kings. After a Dorell Wright 3-pointer gave the Warriors a lead in the early-going, the Kings proceeded to go on a 19-0 run and led by as many as 25 points in the first half. With the game seemingly out of reach, Al Thornton came off the bench and led a Warriors charge that cut the deficit down to seven in the final minute. Thornton finished with a team-high 23 points in 21 minutes, Stephen Curry tallied 19 points and Monta Ellis had 18 points and nine assists in the defeat. Marcus Thornton had a career-high 42 points for the Kings, who shot 56.6 percent from the field and out-rebounded the Warriors 46-24. Golden State will return to action on Wednesday against the Dallas Mavericks in the first-ever Bollywood Night at Oracle Arena.

Tim Roye's Game Recap

Keith Smart
On tonight's game:
"I knew we were going to be flat. I was hoping that we wouldn't, but we didn't have the juice. We couldn't match up to the speed of the game. We didn't have the energy."

"We had some guys come in and give us some fight. That's good. We needed some of that. We haven't had that all year. I think it's good that we got into a little pushing match. It was a statement. No one is going to let it get out of hand."
