Warriors Win In Convincing Fashion
The Warriors followed up Friday's OT thriller with another win on Sunday, but this time they put the game away before the final buzzer. Golden State turned in one of its best defensive performances of the season, taking down the visiting Timberwolves 100-77. The point total marked the lowest of any Warriors opponent this season. Stephen Curry helped lead the way, finishing with 24 points, nine rebounds and six assists on the night, while Monta Ellis and Dorell Wright each scored 16 points. The Warriors also received impressive performances off the bench, as Lou Amundson finished with 11 points and seven rebounds, while Ekpe Udoh blocked five shots. Golden State also scored 33 points off 24 Minnesota turnovers. The Warriors will play the Kings in Sacramento tomorrow at 7pm.

Keith Smart On the team's defense:
“It always starts with your game plan and what we need to do first. And that was to limit their second chance opportunities, but it was going to take a player to have a commitment. The player that was going to guard (Kevin) Love tonight was not going to be involved in the game from an offensive standpoint. He had one objective and that was to make sure he doesn’t get to the glass. I thought David Lee did a great job with that and with sacrificing. That’s what I said about our team, ‘To get where we are trying to go, on certain nights someone is going to have sacrifice’ and his point total was the sacrifice tonight to make sure he keeps this guy off the glass. I thought that was a key point of the game, even in our pregame, that these were no more than effort plays, not so much what they do offensively.”
On outrebounding the Timberwolves:
“I think anytime you can outrebound a team or rebound with one of the best teams in the league two things happen - it gives you confidence to let you know you are capable of being a good rebounding team if you focus on what you need to do. And number two, it allows you to get out and run. Those are two elements because that allows you to run and we were able to run tonight because we gave them only one shot and got our fast break going.”
On What Lou Amundson gave the team:
“Energy. I know what I’m going to get from Lou (Amundson) when he plays in the game. He’s going to have high energy, he’s going to get to the glass and rebound and he’s going to seek the ball and run the floor. The hardest thing now is trying to get everybody the minutes they want and that’s impossible. That’s impossible for any team to do that. So some nights when you get down towards the eighth and ninth guy it’s going to be hard to give them the consistent minutes that they want. But when there are opportunities for our guys to play they have to come in and play hard because their next opportunity may not be there. “

Monta Ellis On tonight's game:
“It was great. We took care of business and did what we needed to do. We got our guys rest for the game tomorrow. Our big men did an excellent job on Kevin Love holding him under 10 points and we couldn’t do anything about the rebounding but it was a big key to stop him."
David Lee On stopping Kevin Love from getting a double-double:
“It was definitely a team effort. After what Kevin Love did to us in Minnesota when they beat us it was a bad loss for us. He obviously had a huge game with over 30 points and 20 rebounds, I tried to just come out with pride and play well. When it came down to it in the fourth quarter I told coach when he (Kevin Love) comes back in I want to go in and do my best attempt to not let him get to 10 points. Kevin (Love) is a good friend of mine but when he has a performance against us like he did in Minnesota pride takes over and we tried to stop that streak.”
On sacrificing his offensive game:
“I had some easy shots I should have hit. You’re not always going to help the team win by scoring points. Steph (Curry) was shooting the ball well, Dorell (Wright) played well, so did Monta (Ellis). Tonight they didn’t need me scoring the ball; all I was trying to do was keep him (Kevin Love) off the glass. I probably sacrificed six rebounds where I could have gone after the ball but instead I made sure he didn’t get to it.”
