Warriors Fall In Road Trip Finale
Playing on the back end of a back-to-back, the Warriors closed out their longest road trip of the season with a 94-90 loss to the New Jersey Nets on Wednesday. With the game tight throughout the second half, the Warriors went cold down the stretch and were held scoreless over the final three minutes of the game. David Lee had 17 points and 10 rebounds for his seventh double-double in the last eight games, while Monta Ellis and Stephen Curry had 16 and 15 points, respectively. Dorell Wright and Reggie Williams each had 10 points in the defeat, which dropped the Warriors to 2-5 on the road trip. Two weeks removed from their last home game, the Warriors will now return to Oracle Arena to host the Orlando Magic on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Tim Roye's Game Recap

Keith Smart
On today's game:
We didnt play smart basketball down the stretch, we had the game in our hands to close it out but we didnt play smart. Its an experience thing and everything in between. Weve grown now, were 62 games into the season. When youre on the road and you have a chance to win, the Nets are an energetic team missing one of their most critical pieces. We had a chance to walk away with this game and unfortunately we didnt. Stephen Curry is a young player and he is going to grow and become a better player. He will learn to manage these situations better. Point guard is the toughest position in the world because every player wants the ball. Every situation you have the ball is critical.

Monta Ellis
On today's game:
I think we took good shots, they just didnt go down. At the end of the day, the shots that we took just didnt go down.

On the road trip being over:
We are not happy at all (to have this road trip over). We only won two games. Thats not enough to get us where we need to be.

Dorell Wright
On today's game:
We cant make mistakes like we did tonight in crunch time. We have to continue to play together and improve. We are young, but thats not an excuse. Like I said, we just have to play together, continue to learn, and get better.

On the road trip:
Definitely (its tough going home) as we saw a lot of teams we should have been able to compete with and get key wins. We have got to make that playoff push. Thats our goal. Every night we go out and play hard, in the practice gym we challenge each other, its just that we keep falling short.
