Warriors Lose In Overtime
Monta Ellis provided the heroics to force overtime, but the Warriors fell behind early in the extra period and lost 125-117 to the 76ers on Sunday in Philadelphia. Ellis had 18 of his 27 points in the fourth quarter, including a pair of 3-pointers in the final 10.9 seconds of regulation to tie the game. The Warriors, however, struggled for the rest of the game from long distance. Golden State entered the game as the second best 3-point shooting team in the NBA, but was just 4-for-19 from long range in Philadelphia. Curry added 22 points and seven assists and David Lee came through with 14 points and 14 rebounds for the Warriors, who erased an 18-point deficit before forcing overtime. Golden State will now continue its season-long seven-game road trip on Tuesday in Cleveland.

Tim Roye's Game Recap

Keith Smart
On today's game:
"There's no games in the NBA that you should win. There are games you've got to take."

"You've got to have some toughness on the road. You have to be determined to get to loose balls and to get rebounds. We have to dig within ourselves to not be beaten."

On Monta Ellis' 3-pointers at the end of regulation:
"We had to have Hercules make two big, big plays to get it into overtime, but we shouldn't have been in that position. Monta has the toughness necessary to will a team to win. If we would have pulled it off, we would be here showering him for what he did."

Stephen Curry
On how tough a defeat this was:
"Especially the way we came back and Monta put us on his back. That would've definitely got our morale up (had we won)."

"We were trying to get back to a positive vibe in the locker room, and this loss doesn't help."

Monta Ellis
On today's game:
"We've got to find a way to start winning these kinds of games. We were right there but they made the big plays and won the game."
