QUOTES

Don Nelson

On tonight's game:
"We were beaten by a better team in the fourth quarter. They had their way with us. We just didn’t have enough down the stretch. We can’t keep digging ourselves out of a hole in this league. I think the turning point of the game was Jeff Foster. Also, the way they hit their shots under pressure."

On losing a 17-point lead:
"Things like that happen. This is the NBA. They weren’t lucky, they were just better than us. They really pressured us down the stretch and made key plays.”

Al Harrington
On tonight's game:
" We fell apart at the end of the game. We were supposed to win this game but we didn’t play the full 48 minutes. We did a great job in the first three quarters of hitting shots and building a lead. But we just fell apart. I didn’t think we’d be sitting in this locker room after the game with a loss. Now we have to go to Chicago and regroup. It was a combination of them hitting their shots and our defense. I thought Kareem Rush hit some big shots for them."

On being back in Indiana:
"I’ve been here so many times as an opposing player that it’s just another game."

Baron Davis
On tonight's game:
"Sometimes you get frustrated out there and it kind of snowballs. Tonight was one of those nights. We had to go into the fourth quarter with a defensive mindset. If we did, we could have had the win. But tonight was not a night that we did that. The foul trouble I was in did affect me, especially with my aggressiveness. I like to be aggressive on defense. It’s a horrible feeling to blow a 17 point lead."
