WARRIORS VS. HORNETS
The Warriors will close out their three-game season series with the Hornets on Tuesday. The teams have split their first two head-to-head matchups with each team winning on their home floor. The Hornets are a much more dangerous team than their 20-44 record would indicate. Sparked by the return of Eric Gordon, the team has reeled off five vicories in its last seven games. The Warriors will look to slow down that progress with a shorthanded roster that has seen four rookies in the starting lineup in recent contests.
CURRY, BOGUT INJURY UPDATES
The Warriors have announced that Stephen Curry and Andrew Bogut will each undergo arthroscopic surgery later this week. A timetable for the return to basketball-related activities for Curry and Bogut will be determined following surgery, but both players are expected to be ready for the start of training camp in October. RUSH TO THE RESCUE
Brandon Rush played some of his best basketball of the season during the recently completed back-to-back-to-back road trip. Rush averaged 19.3 points and 8.0 rebounds during that condensed stretch, a pretty impressive feat considering Rush had only tallied eight-plus rebounds on three other occasions this season. Furthermore, he made some huge shots during the trip, including two key buckets in the fourth quarter of Sunday's win.
Injuries:Warriors - Andrew Bogut (fractured left ankle), Stephen Curry (mild sprain, right ankle) and David Lee (strained groin/stress reaction) are out. Andris Biedrins (mild concussion), Dorell Wright (sprained right ankle) and Nate Robinson (right hamstring strain) are day-to-day. Hornets - Jarrett Jack (right foot stress fracture), Chris Kaman (bruised left tibia) and Emeka Okafor (sore
left knee) are out.
