Game Preview: Warriors vs. Pistons - 1/15/12
  • LAST TIME OUT
Playing the first game of a four-game road trip, the Warriors were unable to overcome a slow start and fell in a 112-100 contest against the Bobcats in Charlotte. Golden State cut Charlotte's 20-point fourth quarter lead to just six, but the Bobcats were able to hold off for their third victory of the season. David Lee tallied 24 points and 16 rebounds on the night, while Monta Ellis scored 18. FULL GAME RECAP

  • WARRIORS VS. PISTONS
Last season the Warriors split their two-game series with the Pistons, winning the second at home 101-97 just eight days after losing the first 97-102 on the road. During the win, Monta Ellis scored 21 points in the first quarter alone and the team was able to hold off a furious second half comeback attempt by the Pistons. This year the Warriors will have to find a way to get a win in Michigan as this will be the only time the two teams meet in the shortened regular season.

  • A SECOND CHANCE
After a disappointing and injury-plagued first road trip, the Warriors are looking to bring home some wins after a compressed four games in five days in the East. Following the matchup with the Bobcats, the Warriors will take on the Pistons, Cavaliers and Nets before returning to Oracle Arena on Friday January 20 to kick off their longest homestand of the season.
