LAST TIME OUT
Playing the first game of a three-game homestand, the Warriors wound up on the losing end of an 88-87 contest against the Jazz on Saturday when Monta Ellis narrowly missed a runner at the buzzer. Ellis finished with 32 points and six assists on the night. Playing without Stephen Curry (sprained right ankle), the Warriors received a solid effort from their bench, with Brandon Rush (14) and Nate Robinson (11) scoring in double figures. David Lee, meanwhile, finished with 13 points and 15 rebounds. FULL GAME RECAP
WARRIORS VS. HEAT
The Warriors have lost each of their last six games against the Heat but came close to ending that streak in their most recent matchup on New Year's Day 2011. In that game, the Warriors shot better than 63 percent in the first half before Miami's defense tightened up in what eventually was a 114-107 road loss. Dorell Wright connected on five 3-pointers and had 30 points in that game against his former team, and the Warriors can certainly use another performance like that. Wright has struggled so far in this season's early going, but a big game from him can help the team tremendously against the likes of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.
MORE THAN JUST SCORING
Monta Ellis dished out at least seven assists in each of his first six games, marking the longest streak of his career and the longest in the NBA this season. Currently seventh in the NBA in scoring (24.1 ppg), Ellis also ranks seventh in assists (8.1). LeBron James is the only other player in the league who is in the top 10 in both categories. 2012 All-Star Voting | Dub The Vote
