Eric Musselman
On the game
"Mo (Maurice) Taylor had a big game on a night when we knew there were not going to be a lot of points scored. We struggled offensively and didn’t shoot the ball well or rebound. We’re just missing our shots. I thought we did a good job defensively on (Steve) Francis, on Yao (Ming) and on (Cuttino) Mobley but the one guy, Taylor, really hurt us."
On the Rockets play
"Houston is one of the better defensively teams in the league and that contributed to us not scoring much. Houston is a very good defensive team all around."

Mike Dunleavy
On the game
"We missed a lot of open shots and just didn’t get the job done. A lot of balls seemed to bounce to Houston and we couldn’t get the rebounds."
On the teams 6 game losing streak
"It’s tough. It’s been very hard for us to get a win. We have to fight it and keep fighting it to do whatever we need to get a win. You need maximum effort every time out."
On Steve Francis’ low scoring
"He is one player that can make a major contribution without scoring. He showed you by doing a lot of other things on the court that you don’t always need to score to win."

Clifford Robinson
On the Warriors Play
"We’ve gotten good looks at the basket but haven’t shot the ball very well. We need to create some more shots and get more rebounds. There still is a lot of basketball to play. We need to get going in the right direction and it might be just a little thing to get us going there."
On the Rockets defense
"I didn’t think their defense was that good but we just didn’t shoot the ball well. Houston has a lot of other guys who are capable of scoring other than Steve (Francis) and they showed off their offensive weapons against us."
|
 |
Nick Van Exel
On the game
"It was very surprising that Steve (Francis) only scores 2 points and we lose by 18. I don’t know what happened. I can’t put my finger on it. Houston is number 1 (defensively) for a reason, and you gotta give them credit. Houston does a good job defending."
