Warriors to Celebrate NBA Green Week April 4-10
Esurance and Warriors Team Up For Volunteer Event At San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park on April 9; Team To Help Promote Green Week With Gameday Activation

As part of NBA Green Week, the Golden State Warriors, in conjunction with direct-to-consumer car insurance company Esurance and San Francisco Recreation and Park, will host Warriors season ticket holders and fans for an NBA Green Week and WE G.I.V.E. volunteer service event on Wednesday, April 9 from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park (Music Concourse Drive, San Francisco 94118), the team announced today. Warriors forward Harrison Barnes, Warriors Chief Marketing Officer Chip Bowers, Esurance President and Chief Executive Officer Gary Tolman and Chief Marketing Officer Alan Gellman will join additional staff members from the Warriors and Esurance, along with season ticket holder and fan volunteers to help remove invasive plant species and debris as well as paint the park’s benches and playground area. Barnes, Bowers, Tolman and Gellman will be in attendance from 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

In addition, as part of NBA Green Week from April 3-10, the Warriors will encourage fans to team-up with the NBA family to take small steps to keep our planet healthy and ‘go green’ in their local communities. Throughout NBA Green Week, Warriors players will wear special NBA Green adidas shooting shirts made from 100% organic cotton, and Warriors coaches will wear NBA Green lapel pins during the team’s home games on Friday, April 4 against the Sacramento Kings, Sunday, April 6 against the Utah Jazz and Thursday, April 10 against the Denver Nuggets. The WE G.I.V.E. volunteer event at Golden Gate Park on April 9 is part of the Warriors’ and Esurance’s WE G.I.V.E. volunteer platform, where Warriors players and front office staff, along with Warriors season ticket holders, Esurance employees and additional fans team up to Give, Inspire, Volunteer and Educate through a variety of events this season to support organizations whose mission is to give back to the Bay Area community.
