Warriors Maintain Position At #7 Pick In 2012 NBA Draft Lottery
Team Owns Four Picks In Upcoming NBA Draft For The First Time Since 1995

The Golden State Warriors own the #7 pick in the 2012 NBA Draft following the 2012 NBA Draft Lottery, which took place earlier tonight at the Disney/ABC Times Square Studio in New York. The Warriors, who were represented at the Lottery by General Manager Bob Myers, were pre-slotted in the #7 position and had a 60% chance of staying at #7 in the annual Lottery proceedings, which are held annually to determine the top three picks in that year’s Draft.

The Warriors will have four picks (#7, #30, #35, #52) in the draft for the first time since 1995. Golden State has previously held the #7 pick twice in the Lottery era, selecting Chris Mullin in 1985 and Stephen Curry in 2009. In 21 Lottery appearances since its inception in 1985, the Warriors have moved up three times, dropped down eight times and held their ground 10 times.

For a look back at this year's Lottery, watch the video below, as warriors.com reporter Laurence Scott recaps the entire night with Myers and Warriors Owners Joe Lacob and Peter Guber.

The 2012 NBA Draft will be held on June 28 in Newark, New Jersey.
