Warriors Owner Joe Lacob To Participate In Annual MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference
Two-Day Conference To Begin Friday In Boston

Golden State Warriors owner Joe Lacob will be one of many prominent professional sports owners, executives and journalists scheduled to participate in the fifth annual MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference held March 4-5 at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center in Boston, MA. The two-day event will feature numerous sports luminaries from the NBA, NFL, MLB and NHL and focus on a wide variety of panels and topics, ranging from Labor Relations, Broadcasting, Data Analysis, New Age Athletes and Philanthropy.

The specific panel featuring the Warriors’ new owner – consisting of Lacob (Golden State Warriors), Wyc Grousbeck (Boston Celtics), Ted Leonsis (Washington Capitals/Wizards), Jeff Moorad (San Diego Padres) and Bill Simmons (ESPN.com columnist) – will discuss the reasons for becoming a professional sports owner, the line between business and passion in sports and the experiences that each of them have endured in their current positions.

The discussion involving this panel - deemed “New Sports Owners: The Challenges and Opportunities” - will commence on Saturday, March 5 at 9:00 a.m. (Eastern).
