Healthcare Consortium Continues Partnership As Gold Alliance Member Through 2016-17 NBA Season

The Golden State Warriors announced today that Kaiser Permanente will be the team’s presenting sponsor through the 2016-17 season, extending the partnership for an additional three seasons, and remain the official health care provider of the team. Kaiser Permanente extended its Gold Alliance partnership with the team one year before the end of its current contract, indicating the success of the partnership for both the team and healthcare consortium.

“Kaiser Permanente’s early renewal and commitment through our 2016-17 season as a Gold Alliance member shows the success of our partnership over the years and the direction of Warriors basketball,” said Warriors President and Chief Operating Officer Rick Welts. “We are honored to once again partner with Oakland’s single largest company and look forward to continuing our joint efforts to impact the Bay Area community in a positive way.”

Kaiser Permanente is entering their ninth season as a partner with the Warriors. Their comprehensive partnership through the 2016-17 season will include permanent and temporary signage, integrated media assets, community outreach events, in-arena activation such as video board features, on-court contests, the debut of TV-visible branded pole pad signage and more. Kaiser Permanente’s “We Care For All Warriors” season-long message will be integrated into all in-arena assets as well as a new public service announcements during flu season featuring Warriors Guard Stephen Curry. Kaiser Permanente will also continue to hold the naming rights to Kaiser Permanente Arena, the home of the NBA D-League affiliate Santa Cruz Warriors.

Kaiser Permanente has also partnered with the Warriors on several community outreach programs over the years to improve the lives and health of Bay Area families and youth impacting over 10,000 people in the Bay Area. This season, Kaiser Permanente will once again participate in the Get Fit Timeout program, in which Warriors players, coaches and ambassadors join Kaiser Permanente representatives to educate Bay Area youth on the importance of healthy eating and active living.

In addition to Kaiser Permanente, Warriors Gold Alliance partners include Clorox, Jawbone and Visa, along with arena naming rights partner Oracle.
