Warriors Sign Second Round Pick Charles Jenkins

The Golden State Warriors have signed second round draft pick Charles Jenkins to a contract, the team announced today. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not announced.

Jenkins, 22, was selected by the Warriors with the 44th pick in the 2011 NBA Draft after playing four seasons at Hofstra, where he was named Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Year in both his junior and senior seasons. Overall during his collegiate career, the 6’3” guard averaged 19.6 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.7 steals in 128 games, racking up a school-record 2,513 points. Jenkins shot 45.6% from the field for his career, while shooting 38.2% from three-point range and 81.1% from the free throw line. A native of Brooklyn, Jenkins ranked sixth in the nation in scoring during his senior season, averaging 22.6 points per game.

The Warriors now have 10 players under contract.
