Team Solicits Fans to Participate in "We Are Warriors" Marketing Campaign
The Golden State Warriors are holding an open casting call for all Warriors fans to participate in this year's We Are Warriors commercials, it was announced today. The casting call will be held on Friday, August 23 at the Warriors Practice Facility in Oakland (1011 Broadway) at 2:00 p.m. and is open to all ages and types.
Fans who participate will have 30 seconds to show us how much they love the Warriors and how they do it is entirely up to them. They can choreograph their own cheer routine or show off their statistical knowledge. Regardless of background, the entire Bay Area is Warriors Ground and every fan is a Warrior. We want our fans to show us what being a Warrior represents. We're looking for everyone-moms, dads, kids and grandparents. No basketball playing experience required. We just want fans who bleed blue and gold. The first 300 people will have the opportunity to audition for this year's commercials. Fans also must be available for the day of shooting, tentatively scheduled for September 18, 2013.
Registration begins promptly at 2:00 p.m. at the 1st floor of the Oakland Convention Center. Fans are encouraged to take BART and exit the 12th Street/Oakland City Center station in Oakland. Parking is available on the 3rd and 4th floors of the Oakland Convention Center at cost and availability is limited.
Blessed with the best fans in the NBA, the Warriors created the "We Are Warriors" marketing campaign last season on the concept that we ALL are Warriors and everyone contributes to the success of the team. This year's We Are Warriors commercials will be available on Warriors TV, Warriors YouTube Channel and can be seen on Comcast SportsNet Bay Area and additional local Bay Area television stations throughout the 2013-14 season. Last season's commercials were based on the creative campaign "The Bay's Team is Ready," which included "Midnight Shooter," "The Show," "Warriors Sound FX," and "Warriors Ramp Run."
MUH-TAY-ZIK | HOF-FER, who developed and produced last season's commercials, will once again develop and produce this season's commercials. This year's campaign was created by John Matejczyk and written by Josh Bogdan.comments powered by Disqus
