The Golden State Warriors have signed free agent forward Carl Landry, the team announced today. Per team policy, terms of the agreement were not released.

Landry, 28, played with the New Orleans Hornets last season, appearing in 41 games (eight starts) and averaging 12.5 points and 5.2 rebounds in 24.4 minutes per contest, while shooting 50.3% (182-362 FG) from the field and 79.9% (147-184 FT) from the line. The 6'9" forward posted six double-doubles last season, including three 20-point/10-rebound efforts. In 22 games when playing 25-or-more minutes in 2011-12, Landry averaged 17.2 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.1 assists.

Originally selected by the Seattle SuperSonics with the first pick of the second round (#31 overall) in the 2007 NBA Draft out of Purdue, Landry owns career averages of 12.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 24.8 minutes in 308 regular-season games (63 starts) over five seasons with the Houston Rockets, Sacramento Kings and New Orleans Hornets. For his career, the Milwaukee, WI, native has shot 53.5% (1401-2617 FG) from the field, having topped 50.0% in each of his five NBA seasons. He had his finest NBA season in 2009-10 when he averaged career-highs of 16.8 points and 5.9 rebounds in 80 games combined between Houston and Sacramento.
