WARRIORS WEEKLY NOTES - 3/7/2008

The Warriors scored a season-high 135 points in a 135-118 victory at Atlanta on Tuesday, going 55-of-101 from the field, 17-of-32 from long range and just 8-of-10 from the line.



Golden State’s 135 points versus Atlanta marked the most points in NBA history by a team shooting 10-or-fewer free throws.



The Warriors reached a season-high 15 games above .500 after the win in Atlanta on March 4…One year ago on March 4, 2007, the team was nine-game UNDER .500, marking a 24-game improvement over last season.



Golden State is 16-13 on the road this season, marking the teams most road wins since 1993-94.



The Warriors are 37-23 on the season, including a record of 37-17 after a 0-6 start.


Monta Ellis
  • In the last 18 games, is averaging 25.5 points, while shooting 58.8% (183-311 FG) from the field.
  • Is shooting 56.5% (314-556 FG) from the field over the last 36 games, averaging 21.8 points in those contests.
  • In 10 games during February, averaged 26.0 points while shooting 60.2% (106-176 FG) from the field – becoming just the ninth guard in NBA history to shoot over 60% from the field for an entire month (min. 10 games and 150 FGA).
  • For the season, is averaging 19.5 points while shooting 53.5% from the field, IMPROVING on his Most Improved Players stats from last year when he averaged 16.5 points on 47.5% shooting.


Baron Davis
  • Has scored 30-plus points in each of Warriors first two games on current road trip.
  • In last two games, is averaging 32.5 points while shooting 28-of-47 (.596 FG%) from the field.
  • 30-plus points in three of last six games.
  • Has started all 60 games this season, the only Warrior to appear in every contest.


Stephen Jackson
  • In the last four games, is averaging 25.0 points, while shooting 50.0% (36-72 FG) from the field, 45.9% (17-37 3FG) from long range and 84.6% (11-13 FT) from the line.
  • Tallied 29 points in consecutive victories over Portland and Atlanta earlier this week.
  • For the season, is averaging a career-high 20.9 points and a career-high 39.5 minutes per game.
