Warriors Re-Assign Patrick O’Bryant To NBA Development League
Rookie Center Returns To Bakersfield Jam For Third Time This Season

O’Bryant becomes the first Warriors player to be assigned to the D-League since the current affiliation system began in 2005.
The Golden State Warriors have re-assigned center Patrick O’Bryant to the Bakersfield Jam of the NBA Development League, Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations Chris Mullin announced today.

O’Bryant, 20, has been assigned to Bakersfield twice previously this season. In 17 games with the Jam, he has averaged 11.1 points, 9.4 rebounds and 2.94 blocks in 29.7 minutes. During his last 11-game stint in the D-League from January 21 – February 15, he averaged 13.8 points, 10.4 rebounds and 3.27 blocks in 33.3 minutes.

Overall with Golden State this season, the 7’0’’ center has appeared in 16 games, averaging 1.9 points and 1.3 rebounds in 7.4 minutes per contest.

O’Bryant is the first Warriors player to be assigned to the D-League since the current affiliation system began during the 2005-06 season. Under the system, NBA teams can assign up to two players who are rookies or in their second season to their D-League affiliate. Players can stay with the D-League team for as long as the team wishes, and be recalled back to the NBA at any time. However, a player can only be sent to the D-League a maximum of three times during the season.
