Warriors Announce 2007 Preseason Schedule

The Golden State Warriors will play a pair of home games at ORACLE Arena as part of a seven-game preseason schedule leading up to the 2007-08 NBA regular season, the team announced today.

To begin their preparations for the upcoming season, the Warriors will head to Hawaii for the third time in the last five years (also 2003 & 2005) and hold training camp from Tuesday, October 2 through Monday, October 8 at the George Q. Cannon Activities Center on the campus of BYU-Hawaii in the town of Laie. From there, the team will travel to Honolulu, where it will play a pair of preseason games against the Los Angeles Lakers at the Stan Sheriff Center on the campus of the University of Hawaii on Tuesday, October 9 and Thursday, October 11.

Upon returning to the mainland, the Warriors will host a home-and-home back-to-back at ORACLE Arena, beginning with a contest against the L.A. Clippers on Sunday, October 14 (6:00 p.m.). The following night, on Monday, October 15 (7:30 p.m.), the Warriors will play host to Zalgiris Kaunas, a professional team from Kaunas, Lithuania, that has won three of the last four Lithuanian League championships. Zalgiris is headed by team president and former NBA player Arvydas Sabonis, who began his legendary career as a player for the team in the early 1980s.

Warriors Announce 2007-08 Regular Season Schedule

Following the back-to-back home games, Golden State will conclude its preseason schedule with three road contests: at San Antonio on Thursday, October 18; at Seattle on Tuesday, October 23; and at the L.A. Clippers on Friday, October 26.

The Warriors will open the 2007-08 regular season on Tuesday, October 30, when they host the Utah Jazz in a rematch of the 2007 Western Conference Semifinals.
