Playing their second preseason home game in as many nights, the Warriors emerged victorious, defeating Zalgiris Kaunsas (Lithuania) 107-88 on Monday night at ORACLE Arena.
Golden State got out to a quick lead in the first quarter, finishing the period with a 29-16 lead. The home team would never look back, as it cruised to a 19-point victory over the only European team on its preseason schedule this year.
Baron Davis asserted himself quickly, scoring all 11 of his points in the first quarter. Davis finished the game with six rebounds and seven assists in 20 minutes on the floor.
Stephen Jackson led all scorers with 20 points, as he shot 7-12 from the field and 4-6 from the free throw line. Rookie Marco Belinelli chipped in 19 points of his own, while Al Harrington totaled eight points and 10 rebounds.
The contest gave fans at ORACLE Arena their first glimpse at rookie Kosta Perovic. The 22-year old from Serbia started and played the entire first quarter for Golden State, finishing with two points and two blocked shots.
Golden State will now look toward Thursday's preseason contest at San Antonio. The Warriors will next appear at ORACLE Arena on Sunday, October 28 when they host their annual Open Practice.

DON NELSON
On Tonight's Game
“It was a good game to get under our belt, our veterans have been struggling, but I thought they had a better rhythm worked well out there together...I'm not overly concerned about the injures, they just need enough time to get their timing back. They need at least a week to get their rhythm."
On The Rookies
"I thought I would give (Macro) a whole game, it was a good game to play our rookies. They all got in there."
On Jackson and Harrington
"I’m not going to play (Jackson) later in the preseason; some other guys are going to have to fill his place. I liked Harrington's energy tonight. That’s the idea of a 6th man, not everybody will have to play a lot of minutes.“

Stephen Jackson
On The Tonight's Game
“I played a little better tonight. I’m just trying to get my rhythm back. As I keep playing I’m going to continue to get in better shape. We won the game tonight, but we still have a lot of work to do.”
On Winning After Playing Last Night
“We approach every game like a real game. In order for us to get better, we have to come out and play hard every night. It was a back-to-back, so it was important for our bodies to get used to that.”

Patrick O'Bryant
On Whether He Can Improve
“Yes, definitely. I came out and played well in the first two games. I got into some foul trouble the third game, which limited my minutes. We have two days of practice coming up and I just need to get my stride back for the San Antonio game.”
On Being Focused on More by Coach Nelson
“I came in this year under a microscope, because there are a lot of expectations of me being in my second year. He is probably scrutinizing me a little more this year, but I have to take that and get better.”
