The Warriors improved to 2-0 in the preseason on Thursday with a 119-106 victory over the Lakers in Honolulu. The win completed the two-game preseason series sweep of Los Angeles for the Warriors, who tallied a 111-110 win on Tuesday in the preseason opener.

Kelenna Azubuike followed Tuesday’s 27-point, nine-rebound outburst with another stellar effort on Thursday. Playing without three starters from Tuesday’s contest, the second-year guard again led all scorers with 22 points, while also notching five rebounds and four assists.

Azubuike wasn’t alone with his solid performance, as six Warriors scored in double figures. After struggling with foul trouble on Tuesday, Mickael Pietrus bounced back in a major way on Thursday. Pietrus shot 6-for-7 from the field, making all three of his three-point attempts to finish with 17 points in just 21 minutes before exiting the game with a strained lower back in the third quarter.

With Baron Davis, Al Harrington, Andris Biedrins and Monta Ellis among those watching the game from the sidelines, other Warriors stepped up. Troy Hudson had 16 points and six assists, Marco Belinelli chipped in with 18 points and Patrick O’Bryant turned in another fine effort with 10 points, five rebounds and four assists.

Warriors rookie Brandan Wright cracked the starting lineup and finished with four points and four rebounds in his preseason debut. Fellow rookie Stephane Lasme also saw his first action on Thursday, putting up six points and three rebounds in 11 minutes.

Golden State out-scored Los Angeles in every quarter and took the lead for good during a 10-0 run in the second period. The Warriors shot 45.8 percent (44-for-96) from the field, including 10-for-24 from three-point range and forced the Lakers into 25 turnovers while committing just 14 of their own.

The Warriors will look to remain unbeaten in the preseason on Sunday when they come back home to ORACLE Arena to host the Clippers .
