The Warriors remained unbeaten in preseason play on Tuesday by defeating the visiting Blazers 108-96. Falling behind by 14 at the end of the first quarter, Golden State went on to win each of the next three quarters on its way to a third-straight double-digit victory.

The Warriors improved their record to 6-0, giving the team the best overall preseason record in the NBA. Toronto (5-0) remains the only other remaining unbeaten club in the league.

Baron Davis led the charge all night for the Warriors, finishing with 33 points, 13 assists and five rebounds in his 30 minutes on the floor. Davis was 13-for-17 from the floor and 5-for-6 from the free throw line. After sitting out Golden State's last two games, the Warriors' point guard was on a mission, scoring 30-or-more points for the second time this preseason. In fact, in his three games versus NBA opponents, Davis is averaging 27.0 points, 8.7 assists and 5.7 rebounds while shooting 54.9 % (28-51) from the field and an encouraging 90.9% (20-22) from the charity stripe.

Also posting impressive games for the Warriors were Mike Dunleavy, who had 18 points and nine assists, and Anthony Roberson, who finished with 20 points. Roberson, a training camp invitee, continued to turn heads with his shooting touch. The University of Florida product is now averaging 16.2 points per game in this, his quest to make the Warriors' final roster.

Golden State's preseason schedule will come to an end on Thursday when the team travels to Spokane to face the Seattle SuperSonics. The team will attempt to remain unbeaten in its final tune-up before hosting Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers on November 1 to open the regular season.

    POSTGAME QUOTES

    DON NELSON
    On tonight's game
“It was a nightmare to start with. It looked like the team from last year. It made me kind of sick watching that, but the second half was better. When (Baron Davis) is healthy and in this system, he’s really going to have an opportunity to be an All-star caliber guard again. I thought the two guys who played really well were (Davis) and Dunleavy."

    ANTHONY ROBERSON
    On his performance tonight
“I’m still getting confidence. The more you do it, the more confidence you get. I’m playing more and more and I’m getting confident. I’m getting a real good opportunity to play. I’m playing with guys who have been around like Baron Davis and a couple of veteran guys who are really helping me. I’m trying to come along smoothly, but it’s going to be a long season and I’m just trying to get confidence day by day, practice by practice and game by game.”

    MIKE DUNLEAVY
On the praise the team is receiving in the preseason
“I think that was kind of our issue last year when we started off 12-6, and it was all praise. Everyone thought we were playing so well, but we weren’t playing well. Here we are 6-0 in the preseason, which doesn’t mean anything. We haven’t played one team that’s full strength, so you have to loook at it how it is. We’re still getting wins. That’s good, but we have a ways to go.”

    On the first half tonight
“That was a pretty good example (of how we played last year). We weren’t into it. We just didn’t have what we’ve had the first few preseason games – just that bounce in our step. Coach got after us at half time, and I thought we played better the second half.”
