Announce 2005-06 Television & Radio Schedules
Television Docket Includes 70 Games On FSN Bay Area & Seven National Telecasts (ESPN, TNT);

The Golden State Warriors today announced the club’s 2005-06 television and radio schedules. During the upcoming campaign, a total of 77 Warriors games will appear on television (including one preseason game), while all 82 regular-season games and four preseason contests will be carried on radio.

FSN Bay Area, the exclusive television home for Warriors games in Northern California, will televise a total of 70 contests during the upcoming campaign - including 25 games in high definition and 10 contests on FSN Plus (six of which will also be joined in progress on the main FSN channel). Golden State’s local television docket will consist of 33 home games and 37 away contests. FSN Bay Area begins its 15th season of covering Warriors basketball with the team’s first preseason game from Hawaii against the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday, October 11. The network will also televise all 17 of the team’s games in November, including the regular-season opener versus the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday, November 2.

In addition to the 70 games that are slated for telecast on FSN Bay Area, the Warriors are also scheduled to play seven nationally televised contests. ESPN will carry the team’s meeting versus the Houston Rockets on Wednesday, December 14, as well as its game at the Indiana Pacers on Friday, February 10 and back-to-back home games versus the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday, April 12 and the Phoenix Suns on Friday, April 14. TNT will air three Warriors’ home games on it’s exclusive Thursday night telecasts, featuring match-ups versus the Pacers on Thursday, January 5, the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday, February 2 and the Minnesota Timberwolves on Thursday, March 16. Additionally, six Warriors games are slated to appear on NBA TV, the league’s 24-hour cable channel dedicated exclusively to NBA-related content.

KNBR 680 The Sports Leader, and sister station KNBR 1050, will serve as the Warriors co-flagship radio stations, combining to broadcast all 82 regular-season contests and four preseason games. In its 29th season of broadcasting Warriors games, KNBR 680 will air 57 games during the upcoming regular-season, while KNBR 1050 will have 25 regular-season contests, plus the four preseason games. KNBR 680 will air most weekend games, as well as all weekday games that start at 6:30 p.m. pacific time or later, while 1050 will air all weekday games that begin before 6:30 p.m. pacific time and select Sunday contests.
