American Idol star LaToya London To Perform National Anthem Opening Night
The Golden State Warriors today announced that American Idol star LaToya London will sing the national anthem at the team’s season-opening game versus the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday, November 3 (7:30 p.m. tip-off).

London, an Oakland native, became an instant hit on American Idol 3 this past spring as she advanced to the final four before being voted off the show on May 13, 2004 in a decision that dismayed several judges and disappointed thousands of her fans. On June 10, 2004 the City of Oakland hosted a ceremony and reception in her honor, during which Oakland Mayor Jerry Brown presented the 25-year-old singer with a key to the city.
