ELLIS GOES BIG, BUT WARRIORS FALL IN PRESEASON FINALE
The Warriors closed out their 2010 preseason with a 105-102 overtime loss to the Lakers on Friday in Ontario, Calif. Monta Ellis made 15 of his first 20 shots and finished with 41 points, and Reggie Williams had 27 points and eight assists. After going 3-5 in the preseason, the Warriors now look forward to Wednesday’s Opening Night contest against the Rockets .

Lou Amundson Undergoes Successful Surgery
Forward Lou Amundson underwent surgery on Oct. 18 to repair a fractured right index finger. The procedure was performed by Dr. Andrew Gutow, a hand specialist from the Palo Alto Medical Foundation, at the Menlo Park Surgical Hospital.

The Warriors signed free agent guard Jeremy Lin on July 21. Lin, 21, recently completed a four-year stint at Harvard, where he became the first player in Ivy League history to record at least 1,450 points, 450 rebounds, 400 assists and 200 steals.

The Warriors completed the 2010 Las Vegas Summer League with a 3-2 record. Reggie Williams was one of the league's top performers, averaging 22.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game.

The Warriors signed free agent forward Dorell Wright to a multi-year contract on July 12. Wright, 24, appeared in a career-high 72 games last season for the Miami Heat, averaging 7.1 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 20.8 minutes.
