Warriors Announce 2008 Summer League Roster & Schedule
The Golden State Warriors announced today that both of the club’s 2008 draft picks, Anthony Randolph and Richard Hendrix, are set to join returning players Brandan Wright, Marco Belinelli and C.J. Watson in headlining the team’s summer league squad, which is slated to participate in both the 2008 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas and the 2008 Rocky Mountain Revue in Salt Lake City. Warriors’ assistant coach Keith Smart will serve as the head coach for the Las Vegas contests, while shooting coach Sidney Moncrief will be head coach for the games in Utah. Golden State’s 2008 summer league schedule begins with five games at the 2008 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas from Friday, July 11, through Saturday, July 19, with two of the team’s games slated for broadcast on NBA TV. Additionally, every game played during the Las Vegas Summer League will be webcast live on NBA.com – with each of Golden State’s contests archived on www.warriors.com following the conclusion of the game. The 2008 NBA Summer League, which features squads representing 21 NBA teams, takes place from July 11 – 20, with games played at COX Pavilion and the Thomas & Mack Center on the campus of UNLV. This marks the fourth consecutive year that the Warriors have participated in the Las Vegas Summer League. Following the team’s stint in Vegas, Golden State will take part in the Rocky Mountain Revue in Salt Lake City. The Warriors are scheduled to play four games in the Rocky Mountain Revue between Monday, July 22, and Friday, July 25, with games set to take place at the Lifetime Activities Center on the Redwood Campus of Salt Lake Community College.
