Warriors To Open 2011-12 Season With Four Home Games Between Christmas & New Years Eve
NBAs Marquee Teams All Set To Visit Oracle Arena As Part Of 66-Game Schedule; Single-Game Tickets Go On Sale To General Public Thursday, December 8; Special Pre-Sale Event Begins TOMORROW

The National Basketball Association announced today that the Golden State Warriors will open their 2011-12 season, presented by Kaiser Permanente, at Oracle Arena on Sunday, December 25, at 7:30 p.m., when the club plays host to the Los Angeles Clippers in a nationally televised contest on ESPN. The Christmas Night season-opener begins a stretch of four-straight home games that continues with the Chicago Bulls on Monday, December 26, the New York Knicks on Wednesday, December 28, and a New Years Eve contest against the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday, December 31.

Single-game tickets for all Warriors home games, including Opening Night and the seasons top attractions, go on sale on Thursday, December 8, at 10:00 a.m. Fans wishing to purchase tickets before the general public can receive access to a special Pre-Sale event taking place tomorrow, Wednesday, December 7, by subscribing to Warriors Insider on warriors.com or by Liking the Warriors on Facebook. Throughout the 2011-12 season, fans are encouraged to buy early and save with the Warriors new Dynamic Pricing.

Additional highlights of the Warriors 2011-12 home schedule include visits by the Miami Heat on January 10; Orlando Magic on January 12; Oklahoma City Thunder on January 27 and February 7; the NBA Champion Dallas Mavericks on March 10 and April 12; Boston Celtics on March 14; and Los Angeles Lakers on March 27 and April 18.

Golden State is slated to make 10 national television appearances this season, with six (6) games scheduled on ESPN and four (4) appearances on TNT, marking the teams most national TV appearances since the 2007-08 campaign (11 national games). The Warriors also have seven games currently scheduled to air on NBA TV, the leagues 24-hour cable network.

The 2011-12 season features a 66-game schedule, in which the Warriors will play 48 games against Western Conference teams and 18 games against the Eastern Conference. Here is a look at the breakdown:

The Warriors have one (1) back-to-back-to-back stretch on their schedule, in which they will play three games on consecutive nights at the Dallas Mavericks on Friday, April 20, at the Houston Rockets on Saturday, April 21, and at the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday, April 22. This season, all NBA teams will have at least one, and as many as three, back-to-back-to-backs on their schedules. The Warriors will also play 17 back-to-backs.
