Warriors Announce New Medical Staff

The Golden State Warriors have named Dr. Bill Maloney, Dr. Tim McAdams and Dr. Steve Isono as Team Orthopaedists, along with Dr. Leroy Sims as Director of Medicine, it was announced today. Per team policy, terms of the agreements were not announced.

Dr. Maloney is a professor of orthopaedic surgery at the Stanford University School of Medicine, where he has served as the chair of Orthopaedic Surgery since 2004. Currently a team orthopaedist for the San Francisco 49ers, he also assisted with the medical care needs of the St. Louis Rams (NFL), Cardinals (MLB) and Blues (NHL) while teaching at Washington University in St. Louis from 1996-2004.

Dr. McAdams is an associate professor at the Stanford University School of Medicine. A sports medicine specialist, he has served as team physician for the San Francisco 49ers since 2007 and held the same position for Stanford Menís Basketball from 2004-2007.

Dr. Isono is a clinical assistant professor at the Stanford University School of Medicine. A sports medicine specialist, he has served as a team physician for multiple USA Olympic Teams, including judo, track & field, gymnastics and boxing.

Dr. Sims is a clinical assistant professor at the Stanford University School of Medicine. Trained in emergency medicine with a fellowship in non-operative sports medicine, he will oversee the care of non-musculoskeletal medical issues for the Warriors. In the past he has provided medical care for several Stanford athletic teams, most recently working with Stanford football.
