All-Star Weekend With Curry & D. Wright: Day 1

Asst. Coach Jerry Sichting On The Celtics
After taking some time off for NBA All-Star Weekend, the unofficial second half of the season starts on Tuesday for the Warriors when they host the Boston Celtics . A limited number of tickets are still available for this contest, and fans looking for the best value can purchase a Celtics Four Pack and get seats in the lower level. Fans unable to attend Tuesday’s game will be able to follow the action live on CSN Bay Area (HD) and KNBR 680.
With five full days between games, many of the Warriors have used the time for some rest and relaxation. But that wasn’t the case for Stephen Curry and Dorell Wright, who participated in several NBA All-Star Weekend events. Curry competed for the Sophomore squad in the Rookie Challenge on Friday and won the Skills Challenge on Saturday, while Wright narrowly missed the finals of the Three-Point Contest. The Warriors will return from All-Star Weekend looking to pick up where they left off going into the break. The team was playing some of its best basketball of the season, having won three games in a row and seven of their last nine. Not only are the Warriors winning games, but they are also doing it against good teams, with six of their last seven wins coming against teams with winning records. Golden State will need to maintain that level of play on Tuesday, as the Celtics are currently the class of the Eastern Conference.
Boston had four players play in Sunday’s NBA All-Star Game, and they are intent on making their third trip to the NBA Finals in the last four years. Even though Boston is a perennial power, they have struggled at Oracle Arena. The Warriors have won each of their last six home games against the Celtics, and if the team plays like it did in the games leading up to All-Star Weekend, they are certainly capable of extending that streak.
Following Tuesday’s game, the Warriors will remain at home to host the Hawks in a Family and Friends contest on Friday before playing the Timberwolves in the opener of a seven-game road trip that continues through Indiana, Washington, Boston, Philadelphia, Cleveland and New Jersey.
