Established 1946 | 7-time NBA Champions

The Warriors played their best game of the young season, finishing a 3-0 road trip with a 127-104 victory in Portland on Tuesday night.

GAME LEADERS

Ian Clark provided a spark, Stephen Curry caught fire and the Warriors finished a 3-0 road trip with a 127-104 victory in Portland on Tuesday.

It was the team’s best overall performance of the young season, and it was Clark who got things rolling for the Dubs. The backup guard came off the bench and ignited a 17-2 run to close the first quarter, and the Dubs came back from seven down to take a lead they would never relinquish.

Clark had 11 points during that game-changing spurt, and he finished the game a perfect 8-for-8 from the floor with a career-high 22 points.

Clark’s hot hand was indicative of an overall stellar performance from the team’s reserves, as the bench shot a combined 21-for-30 from the floor and outscored the Trail Blazers’ backups 54-39.

Steph Gonna Steph

After the reserves put the Dubs in a good position, Curry shook off a cold start and came out in the second half with straight fire. The two-time MVP hit a pair of quick 3-pointers, setting a tone for a third quarter that him score 23 of his 28 points. Curry did a little bit of everything in the quarter, hitting five 3-pointers in the period while also putting together some acrobatic finishes at the rim.

Kevin Durant had 20 points – his 68th straight game with at least that many – and Draymond Green had a strong all-around floor game with nine assists and eight rebounds. As a team, the Dubs shot 56.2 percent from the field, out-rebounded Portland 45-32 and had 36 assists on 50 made baskets.

Now 3-1 on the season, the Dubs will come home to host the Thunder on Thursday. Tickets are still available for the conference showdown, and all fans in attendance will receive a Warriors Splash Towel, courtesy of State Farm.
