Warriors Fan Rally
May 23, 2013
On May 22, Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum Authority hosted an end-of-the season Fan Rally to celebrate the success of the Warriors 2012-13 season.
More than 5,000 fans packed Warriors Ground to support their team.
Warriors players Festus Ezeli, Kent Bazemore, Stephen Curry, Carl Landry, Brandon Rush, and Harrison Barnes attended the Fan Rally to thank the fans for their support and answer a few questions.
During the rally, fans toured the Warriors locker room and took pictures with Kent Bazemore …
… Festus Ezeli …
… and Stephen Curry’s Western Conference Player of the Month award for April.
Carl Landry was spotted hanging out with fans in the Stella Lounge…
… while Harrison Barnes was nearby signing autographs and posing for pictures.
Fans could also participate in a shooting contest, shop in the team store, or simply hang out with other fans.
Throughout the night several fans participated in Warriors trivia with Hypeman Franco Finn in order to win cool prizes.
Fans also had the opportunity to enter to win one of 20 autographed copies of the Stephen Curry cover issue of Sports Illustrated.
DJ D-Sharp was on the scene to play the hottest songs.
The Warrior Girls started things off with a performance.
Tim Roye, the radio voice of the Warriors, emceed the event. After welcoming the fans, he introduced Oakland Mayor Jean Quan.
Mayor Quan discussed the fans’ passion and proclaimed May 22, 2013, as Golden State Warriors Fan Day in the City of Oakland.
Next, Larry Reid, Vice Chairman of the Coliseum Authority and Oakland City Council Member, spoke glowingly of the Warriors’ season.
Tim Roye conducted a Q&A with each of the players, asking them questions that came directly from the fans.
Carl Landry gave the fans his classic “Landry Flex” pose, which earned a standing ovation.
Harrison Barnes used this time to announce the members of his 2012-13 Boys & Girls Club First Team, which honors five Bay Area youth who have excelled academically and actively give back to their community.
The Q&A concluded with a “Let’s Go Warriors” chant and the players tossing Warriors t-shirts into the crowd.
Of course, the players couldn’t resist signing a few more autographs for the greatest fans in the league.
#DubNation certainly didn’t disappoint as Oracle Arena was packed with enthusiastic fans celebrating the Warriors memorable season.
Thank you fans for helping us celebrate the success of the 2012-13 Warriors!
