Have you ever wanted to know what exactly goes on before a major decision is made regarding your favorite sports team? Do you think it would be interesting to find out what exactly is said before your favorite team drafts a certain player or acquires another via trade? If so, then you might want to follow the @Warriors on Twitter, because this Thursday, we will be live tweeting from INSIDE the Warriors War Room during the NBA Draft.

The Warriors have always strived to provide fans unique and engaging behind-the-scenes coverage of the team, and now we take it to a whole new level as our digital team has been granted unprecedented access to sit alongside the likes of Owner Joe Lacob, General Manager Bob Myers, Executive Board Member Jerry West and Head Coach Mark Jackson on Draft Night 2012. Considering the team has four draft selections and has been part of the NBA rumor mill, there figures to be a non-stop flow of activity in the War Room, and we will be able to provide a unique perspective on it all through our live tweeting, exclusive in-draft interviews, Instagram photos, etc. While we won’t be able to share each and every detail – we wouldn’t want to tip off our draft strategy to other teams in the league – we will still provide a level of coverage that is extraordinary in professional sports.

Even better, you, the fans, will be able to be a part of it all. Submit your questions via Twitter by using the hashtag #GSWDraft and we’ll answer as many questions as we can. Again, please note the sensitive nature of the draft proceedings will prevent us from answering each and every inquiry, but we’ll get to as many as possible. Just as we do throughout the season at games and special events, we want to share our exclusive access and experience with you.

Live tweeting and answering fan questions from the War Room just adds to the several ways in which you can connect with the team regarding the Draft. In addition to the admission-free Draft Party at 3000 Broadway in Oakland on Thursday, we have also been extremely active through a number of social media channels in recent weeks. Our Facebook, Twitter and Google+ pages have encouraged fans to join the conversation on a non-stopping flow of Warriors-related draft content, and our YouTube page has turned out 30 prospect interviews that have contributed to more than three hours worth of 2012 draft videos – and that’s before the first pick of the draft is even made! Add to that the eight-plus hours of audio interviews with college coaches, draft experts and draft predictions, all of which can be accessed on SoundCloud, and we have provided fans with enough content to warrant their inclusion in the Warriors War Room on Thursday. Feel free to digest it all over the next day, plus peruse more than 30 mock drafts that we’ve compiled, and you’re guaranteed to become a draft expert.

We look forward to sharing with you our unprecedented access on Draft Night. Always one of the more interesting nights of the year, the NBA Draft will have a new light shed on it come Thursday. We’ll see you in the War Room!
