Tolbert And Warriors Bloggers Predict The Seventh Pick

What a time to be an NBA fan. Pretty much every team has something at stake, and it stretches far beyond the NBA Finals matchup between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Miami Heat. For all other teams, the NBA Draft is front and center, as each team’s fan base holds out hope that a young prospect or two can be the difference in their team playing in mid-June in the foreseeable future.

Of course, half the fun of Draft season is the plethora of Mock Drafts. Warriors broadcaster Tim Roye is posing his own Mock Draft, albeit with a twist, as he is polling broadcasters and reporters around the league about who they think the team they cover will pick in the draft. Roye has been revealing one pick at a time, and today’s selection belonged to the Warriors. KNBR’s Tom Tolbert (a former Warriors player himself) predicted that Golden State will go with Ohio State’s Jared Sullinger with the seventh pick.

Sullinger has been a popular prediction for the Warriors at No. 7 on the Mock Draft circuit, and Tolbert’s prediction has caused a wide range of reaction among Warriors fans.To further get the pulse of Warriors nation, Tim Roye reached out to some of the most notable Warriors bloggers for their draft predictions. Special thanks to Adam Lauridsen (GSW Fastbreak), Rasheed Malek (Warriors World), Rich Twu (Golden State of Mind) and Steve Berman (Bay Area Sports Guy) for taking part. Listen to their interviews below, and keep in mind that the predictions are following the results of the first six picks of Roye’s "Mocking The Lottery” feature.
What do you think of these predictions? Who do you think the Warriors should select at No. 7? What about their other selections (30, 35 & 52)? Share your opinions on one of our social media channels and make sure to use the hashtag #GSWDraft if using Twitter.

Stay tuned for much more coverage of the draft, including coverage of Thursday’s pre-draft workout at Warriors headquarters featuring the following prospects:
